Associate - Tom Gosselin

Tom Gosselin is President of Tom Gosselin & Associates specializing in training, organization development, executive coaching and consulting. In the 90's, Tom co-founded and directed The Catalyst Group, a sales training and consulting firm.

Tom has over 20 years of international experience conducting negotiation, leadership, and management skills workshops and seminars. Tom works extensively with clients in investment and financial services, manufacturing, professional services and consulting, pharmaceutical and medical products, petroleum, technology and telecommunications, travel services, and consumer products.

Tom's real intellectual passion lies in developing practical applications of negotiation theory. In addition to his workshops in negotiating, Tom's book: Practical Negotiating: Tools, Tactics & Techniques (John Wiley & Sons, 2007, has been hailed as "a thoughtful, engaging, and practical guide on a topic of increasing importance to leaders and organizations."

Tom also focuses on understanding the effects of organizational change - especially downsizing - on individual and organizational performance. His article: "Downsizing Syndrome: Reaction and Response" (HR Horizons, 1991) was the culmination of years of research and observation of organizations ranging from government to dot coms. Tom often leverages his experience as a psychotherapist in exploring organizational and interpersonal dynamics.

Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John's in Philosophy and Psychology, and his Master's degree in Psychiatric Social Work from Catholic University. He studied Organizational Behavior at George Washington University and Boston College. In addition, Tom has been a guest lecturer on power and influence in organizations at The Harvard Business School. He is an active member of the American Society for Training and Development and the National Speakers Association.
